SynopsisOnce in a generation IT professionals face an opportunity that can change their careers. Just such an opportunity now presents itself, in the domain of Customer Engagement.
There is a massive shift to thrift in the marketing world. Big budget, indiscriminate campaigns that might just pay off are slipping out of fashion. But what will take their place? The customer/advocate is the key player in the markets of the future. In the USA Procter & Gamble has launched a company called TREMOR to build networks of advocates. Advocates spread the news by word of mouth. Their commendation is worth its weight in gold.
Through social networks, the good news can also be spread through word of mouse. But how are these benign networks built and developed? The process is known as Customer Engagement (CE).
David Butler will use practical examples to show how CE is built. The task is far from easy, but vital to success. The leadership role of IT is indispensable. This is a vital issue with guaranteed Boardroom visibility.
CE also provides an opportunity to transform relationships between outsource suppliers and their customers – an overdue option in a vexatious market.
Alistair Russell will lead the discussion about how the CIO team can seize and exploit this epochal opportunity. Speaker’s Bios
